There are four categories of adult education students:
| Adult Basic Education (ABE) without a diploma – students who are 20 years of age or over and under 8.9 grade level in reading and/or math. |
ABE with a diploma – students who are 20 years of age or over with a diploma and under 8.9 grade level in reading and/or math. |
High School Completion – students 20 years of age or over who have not yet received their high school diploma. Students with a G.E.D. may enroll. |
MCTI – students must be under 20 years of age and enrolled in one of Michigan Career and Technical Institute programs. |
The Education Center is open Monday – Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Students are required to provide their own transportation. Meals may be purchased on campus.
Requirements for graduation from the Education Center are the same as Delton Kellogg High School. The Education Center also provides G.E.D. preparation classes.
Delton Kellogg Schools’ Office of Special Program is responsible for securing funding, all State required reports and compliance, and staff supervision and evaluation.
