Delton Kellogg Schools provides alternative education for high school students who have difficulty learning in a traditional classroom setting. DKS also provides adult education for those adults wishing to earn a high school diploma or G.E.D.

What is Alternative Education?

Delton Kellogg Schools provides alternative education for students who are unable to learn in the traditional classroom setting. Delton Kellogg Schools has two Alternative Education Programs. Students must be 19 years of age or under to attend an alternative education program.

 

Alternative Education On-Campus
Delton Kellogg Alternative High School is located in the northwest wing of Delton Kellogg Middle School.

Alternative Education Off-Campus
Delton Kellogg Schools Education Center which is located at Michigan Career and Technical Institute.

Adult Education
Delton Kellogg Schools Education Center also has an adult education program for students ages 20 and over.

On-Campus vs. Off-Campus


Delton Kellogg Alternative High School is an on-campus program where students:

  • who have difficulty learning in a traditional school setting can attend high school;
  • must be in grades 9-12;
  • must be 19 years of age or under;
  • transportation provided to in-district students;
  • breakfast and lunch available on-campus.

Delton Kellogg Schools Education Center, located on the campus of Michigan Career and Technical Institute, is an off-campus program that provides alternative and adult education where students:

  • must be ages 17 – 19 years of age;
  • do not have a high school diploma or G.E.D.;
  • must provide their own transportation and meals.

Delton Kellogg Schools Education Center also has an Adult Education program for students ages 20 and over.
